Hi Fons,
I think I found it. Can you please try again with latest git-head?
SF_INFO was not initialized. Calling sf_open() to read the IR files:
==2620== Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialised value(s)

==2620== at 0x41EDE2D: ??? (in libsndfile.so.1.0.25)
was likely responsible for the segfault..
